Anu Malik who created the original song Neend Churai Meri in Ishq 1997 was unhappy with his nephew Amaal Malik as he recreated the song without his permission and didn't even mention credits in the film as original composer. But Amaal Malik clarified that he did not need his permission as they had taken rights from original English song Sending All My Love by Linear .
Rohit Shetty showed them the DVD of Golmaal 3 as he felt the energy was missing in the cast on first day of shoot.
Kareena Kapoor Khan who has featured in the previous two movies of the franchise was also going to be a part of this film but she couldn't do it because of her pregnancy and commitment to another movie post delivery. Hence, she was replaced with Parineeti Chopra in the film.

The original song 'Neend Churayi meri" from the movie ISHQ featured Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn. Kunal Khemu, who also stars in this movie, has worked with both the actors as a child artist. Aamir won his first Filmfare for 'Raja Hindustani' and Ajay Devgn won his first national award for 'Zakhm'. Both these movies starred Kunal Khemu.
