Ground (UA-13+)

The writer of the film Vijay, has conceived this story while he was still attending his final year of graduation (B-Tech). It was his first time to write down a story on paper. He had no prior experience in writing and had never worked on a short film either.

All female cast were selected after conducting auditions in a B-Tech college near the Filming Location, Ghatkesar. The studio termed this as a sort of a Campus Recruitment, but for only one film.

All the Cast members are relatively new comers to the Films. Only a few members are active in either Theatre Plays or Short Films. Most cast members never faced a camera before, not even for short films.

The Music composer Bhaskar Appalla, came on board after entire production is done. While the film is on edit-table, Director reached out to the composer and shown few rushes of the film and some previous short films. Composer was very impressed with Director's work that he agreed to work for remuneration lesser than he usually commands.

The entire film is captured in natural light. No external lights were used, there by reducing production budget by a significant margin. The shoot timings were from as early as 6:00 am to 11:00 am for a production schedule of 35 Days spread over 3 months. Technically, all the shoot time would amount to only 20 days of full-day shoot. Majority of the schedule is done in Monsoons. This enabled the crew to take advantage of the cloudy weather to use it as natural soft light.
