The Bleeding Heart Orphanage was played by ''The Rindge House'' which is located at 2263 South Harvard Boulevard, Los Angeles, California, USA.

Cast members, Martin Mull and Karen Black, who played the married couple parents Mr. & Mrs. Fitzpatrick, both later appeared in 'The Player' (1992) and 'Movies Money Murder' (1993).

Veteran actor Richard Deacon passed away about three months before the movie was first released.

The movie has also been known to be called in English language markets and territories as ''Growing Pains''. The name of the production company for the film was Growing Pains Productions. As the picture is more ubiquitously known as ''Bad Manners'', the title ''Growing Pains'' is more of a working title though.
