TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Rock Hudson suffered an attack of appendicitis on the last day of filming.

This film was shot in 3-D. However, director Raoul Walsh only had one eye, so he was never able to see the film in the process in which he shot it. The same situation occurred when director André De Toth, who also had only one eye, shot the 3-D film House of Wax (1953).

Originally filmed in 3D.

Rock Hudson had many difficulties to remember his lines; it sometimes took thirty eight takes to finally shoot a scene with him.

Philip Carey and Neville Brand 12 years later would go on to co-star in the Western Laredo (1965), except on that series they were lawmen and not outlaws.

Popular Dialogues

"Frank Slayton: She's quite a woman, isn't she? Tom 'Jess' Burgess: As far as I'm concerned, all women are alike. They just have different faces so you can tell 'em apart."

"Jennifer Ballard: When are you gonna let me go? Frank Slayton: When we're out of Arizona. Jennifer Ballard: When will that be? Frank Slayton: Arizonans are like Texans. They say they're never out of Arizona."
