The stories being told about the photos are played after the photo is shown. The narrator tells the story behind a photo of a metronome but on screen is a photo of a room. The metronome photo is shown only after the story about its creation is finished being told. This creates a sense of temporal disjointedness so the viewer is simultaneously hearing the future while experiencing the past.
