TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Jack Palance was injured in a fight scene when John Terry's sword punctured his body. Palance didn't stop, and completed the take. Afterward, director Terry Marcel went over to see if Palance was all right. Palance cast any concerns aside, and continued with the shoot.

Ferdy Mayne, who plays Jack Palance's father, is three years older than Palance.

Patricia Quinn burned her hand stirring a magic cauldron when too much flash powder was used.

A sequel, Hawk the Hunter, was announced in January 2009. The tagline read, "The Slayer returns. The Hunt begins."

The grand finale fight between Voltan and Hawk lasts about 45 seconds and was filmed completely in slow motion.

Popular Dialogues

"Crow, Elf: We have sat waiting like this many times before. Sometimes I tire... of the fighting and killing. At night, I can hear the call of my race. They wait for me. When I join them, we will be forgotten."

"Gort, Giant: I'd sooner eat cowdung. Soldier: That can be arranged, and you can wash it down with your own blood if need be."
