Quentin Tarantino saw this film while he was working at a movie-rental shop. Years later Tarantino and Kaurismäki were having lunch and Quentin told Mika that Pulp Fiction was heavily influenced by this film.

Matti Pellonpää does a small cameo as a voice of a taxi driver.
