After Luna is killed, he is dragged through one arm to the side of the convent, reminiscent of the famous Spolarium painting, which was painted by his brother Juan Luna.
The Philippine flag, which appears at the background in the scenes with Luna at his office, becomes more and more stained as the movie progresses. At the end of the movie, the dirty flag, gets burned (through CGI effects)
The film was made from a script written in 1998 by E.A Rocha and Henry Hunt Francia which was based on documentary accounts about Antonio Luna.
John Arcilla, Alvin Anson and Jeffrey Quizon co-starred in 2012 movie, El Presidente, another historical movie that also has Antonio Luna as character.
Jeffrey Quizon plays Apolinario Mabini, a character by his brother Ronnie Quizon in the 2012 movie, El Presidente.
