Story

A truly international crew is behind 'Hurt': Producers Eduardo Levy and James Martin are from Brazil and Canada, respectively. Director Barbara Stepansky is from Poland, Cinematographer Ralph Kaechele from Germany, Editor Rita DaSilva from Portugal, and Line Producer Nikolette Orlandou from Greece. And the actress Sofia Vassilieva (Sarah) is a first generation American of a Russian origin. Also adding American flavor, are Co-Writer Alison Lea Bingeman and Production Designer Scott Enge.

William Mapother and Melora Walters, both previously appeared in the film Magnolia (1999), but had no scenes together in it.

Johanna Braddy and William Mapother appeared in the Grudge film series, but not in the same movie. William Mapother in The Grudge (2004) and Johanna Braddy in The Grudge 3 (2009)

Sofia Vassilieva, who plays Sarah in this movie, also played a character named Sarah in Law and Order: SVU (2011-2013).
