As part of her deal to star in the film Tanya Roberts choreographed her own sex scenes. One of the scenes she directed with Brett Baxter Clark was too graphic even for the unrated version and had to be cut.
Fred Olen Ray said Margaux Hemingway'a nudity and sex scenes were doubled by Scream Queen Michelle Bauer because Hemingway refused to do them, though Bauer's breasts are bigger.
An interviewer once accused Joseph Bottoms of only making the movie so he could film sex scenes with Margaux Hemingway and Tanya Roberts.
Fred Olen Ray said he hated working on this film and with Tanya Roberts so much that he was depressed for a year and almost quit directing. He went on to direct two other films starring Roberts.
There's is an unrated version and an R-rated version.
