The actors Justin Long (Darry in Jeepers Creepers) and Ray Wise (Jack Taggart Sr. in Jeepers Creepers 2) were invited to have a special participation but an agreement was never reached with either of them.
Victor Salva had already written his script for Jeepers Creepers 4 and was expected to return with original star Gina Philips (Trish Jenner) as the lead after her brief appearance in Jeepers Creepers III (2017). This has since been rejected and neither Salva nor Philips will be involved. Similarly, the same happened with Salva's original 2008 script for JC3 (titled Jeepers Creepers III: Cathedral) with Trish as the lead. Salva had a script written and Philips was ready to return when the studio decided not to move forward with the idea.
The first Jeepers Creepers movie that doesn't have Victor Salva as the writer, producer, or director. Director Timo Vuorensola confirmed that Victor Salva would not be involved or benefiting from the production.
For this film, a new creeper truck had to be built. This was due to the fact that the two original trucks were in the United States, while much of the project was filmed in London. Transporting the truck was very expensive for the production, also the script warranted a truck that was visually more worn and damaged than the original truck.
The costume that Laine uses for the Horror Hound is a cosplay of Jennifer Cheeck from the movie Jennifer's Body (2009).
