Lisa Pelikan contracted bronchitis during the making of this movie. Moreover, Pelikan revealed in an online interview that she never received a percentage from the box office profits of this film.

Final theatrical feature film of actress Florida Friebus who portrayed Miss Tooker and who continued to work in television for a short time until about 1982.

Bert Convy supplied his own deluxe trailer that he stayed in during the shooting of this film.

Story writer Steve Krantz and film director Brice Mack collaborated on the horror movies Ruby (1977) and Jennifer (1978) as well as on the comedy Swap Meet (1979).

The movie is widely considered by the public as well as numerous film critics and movie reviewers to be a knock off (or rip off) of the then recent horror movie Carrie (1976) which was based on the novel by Stephen King. That source title had been made and first released about two years earlier. An article published in the 14th December 1977 issue of show-business trade-paper 'The Hollywood Reporter' stated that the picture was regarded as an imitation of Brian De Palma's Carrie (1976).
