Joyland Review

"Joyland" is a Pakistani drama film that was released in 2022. It is in Urdu and Punjabi language. The uncomfortable reality and sordid underbelly of society has been exposed by the makers of this movie. It shows expectations, desire, truth, and the miserable grip societal norms place that are burdened upon individuals. Kudos to director Saim Sadiq for making such an emotional movie that shows the harsh reality of society. It's a very emotional movie so definitely be prepared for crying before watching it. The commendable performances of the cast is another highlight of the movie. Cast includes Alina Khan, Ali Junejo, Rasti Farooq, Sania Saeed, Sohail Sameer and others. This movie is truly a piece of art- brilliant acting by cast, intriguing storyline, and amazing cinematography. Cinema indeed needs more such kind of movies to show viewers the reality of today's world. You definitely should not skip this movie.
