TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

For much of September 2019, following its very brief and limited theatrical run, the movie was free to view on Melanie Martinez's YouTube channel.

In the "Class Fight" scene, Maggie Budzyna actually cut Martinez with a pocket knife.

When Kelly mockingly asks if Cry Baby needs tissues when she cries on the bus, another student jokingly replies "I bet she has some in her bra", possibly referencing the music video to Mrs. Potato Head, a song on Martinez's previous album, "Cry Baby", where she does just that in the beginning.

Martinez hid her tattoos in the film with airbrushing, in order to separate herself and the character of Cry Baby.

Martinez has stated in interviews that each time a character changes their hairstyle, it means they have grown as a person, further elaborating by saying that Angelita has the most hairstyles.

Popular Dialogues

"Crybaby: Why is he forcing medication on everyone? Henry: To control us, so we can't leave."

"Kelly: You're all heathens!"
