When Direk Ramsay initially backed out from the movie due to schedule problem, Gabby Concepcion was considered for the lead role. When the film was rejected from the 2019 edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival, Gabby also exited from the project.
Philippine Queen of Horror films Kris Aquino was the first choice for the lead actress. saying it's her comeback horror movie. But when the film was disqualified from the 2019 edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival, Aquino backed out from the movie due to schedule conflict. She was replaced by Beauty Gonzales.
The film was submitted for the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival but was disqualified after the production notified that they would be changing the lead actor days after they submitted the entry. It was however approved in the 2023 edition of the festival.
