Touted as the very first all Filipino produced and made movie, starring local actors, to get a US premiere before its commercial run in the Philippines. The movie was originally set for a November release in the Philippines, but was moved due to shooting schedule problem in Australia. It could not be released in the Philippines on December since it would be affected by the annual Metro Manila Film Festival where only the official entries are allowed to be shown nationwide on Christmas day. So, its Philippines release was moved to 2009. Meanwhile, it was released in advance in US in time for the 15 anniversary of Star Cinema festival in America.
Angel Locsin was injured three times while filming in Bukidnon. In the last incident, she was rushed to the hospital after being hit by the kick of the horse.
Due to the movie Australia (2008), producer forced to rename this movie.
