The last in the film franchise. The franchise was later developed into a TV series, with three installment - Mano po Legacy: The Family Fortune (2022), Mano po Legacy: Her Big Boss (2022), and Mano po Legacy: The Flower Sisters (2022)..

The last of two movies appearance of Rebecca Chuaunsu in the seven-film series. She was Mano po III: My Love (2004). She later appeared in the TV adaptation Mano po Legacy: The Family Fortune (2022).

The first and only film in the series that was not included in the annual December 25 Metro Manila Film Festival. It was submitted to the festival but got rejected despite the previous installments were box office draws and award achievers. The new administration of Rodrigo Duterte experimented with new formula of having mostly indie films to the festival and rejected the traditional films produced by major productions. The result was a disaster as the festival only generated around 370 million pesos (according to Star Cinema as the organizers refused to release the earnings), failing to reach half of the previous year's more than 1.1 billion pesos income.
