Kevin Bishop, playing a cycling policeman on London streets, was mistaken several times by the public for a real copper. He threatened to arrest a troublesome cab driver who kept driving into shot - enabling the scene to be completed.
The surname of Baz, played by Kevin Bishop, is Vartis. This is anagram of Travis, as in Travis Bickle of Taxi Driver.
During covert filming, Kevin Bishop's stunt double was spotted cycling crazily with a camera mounted on his police bicycle by a real police car which gave chase in SW London. The stuntman was able to escape by ducking through barriers protecting a cycle path.
