When Apsara puts her baby in the cradle and goes the other room to take a medicine and again come out of the room, she hears a women humming inside the baby's room and the baby giggling. The women humming is Apsara's dead mother and the baby is giggling because the baby mistakes the ghost to be her mother due to the fact that the ghost shares the facial resemblance and voice of her mother Apsara.
In the beginning of the movie when Aari(Arjun) scares his friend to make him fall backwards, we see a POV from his digital camera giving a suttle hint that we are watching the movie 'Irul' directed by RK which is a key plot element in the actual movie Maya.
