  The majority of Franck Gastambide's original French action comedy, which he co-wrote with Charles Van Tieghem, is highly enjoyable and humorous. But regrettably, the picture is hampered by an erratic writing that only skims the surface of the story and avoids going in-depth. While the characters and clever one-liners keep you intrigued, this formulaic content doesn't offer anything unique. The gangster scenes have a lighthearted tone that manages to put a grin on your face. Even the action is astounding, especially the dramatic scenes involving the boxer Mike Tyson. An important component of the movie is the chemistry between the three actors, Ramzy Bedia, Franck Gastambide, and Anouar Toubali. This is especially true of their action scenes. The 113-minute movie falls short of a particular standard despite this. This action-comedy movie provides an exciting and exhilarating experience from the minute the characters come into contact with the cartel through their journey to rescue Pablito. 'Medellin' keeps you interested with its oddball jokes, sincere acting, and fascinating action scenes in the end.
