Michael Moore filmed his one-man show in secret, and released it on television in the month leading up to the 2016 Presidential Election, in a (failed) attempt to keep Donald Trump from becoming President of the United States.
Michael Moore correctly predicted that Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin would be won by Donald Trump in the general election, despite having been won by Democrats for six consecutive presidential elections, and most polling indicated they would be again. The flipping of those three states from Democratic to Republican was considered a major upset.
"Michael Moore: [about Millennials] You are not haters. This is a generation of none haters. Have you notice that? The majority of 18 to 35 year olds, they don't hate people because of their skin colour or because they're in love with someone of the same gender [...] Michael Moore: They didn't create climate change, they didn't send the troops to Iraq, Millennials didn't cause the Wall Street collapse. Why is it on them to fix our shitty situation that we handed them?"
