Michigan Hell House is thhe latest installment of the Shock Doc series, featuring paranormal investigators Steve Shippy and Cindy Kaza. The documentary examines the haunting that occurred in the Pomeraning family's house in Merrill, Michigan, from 1974-1975. The documentary features interviews with Terry and Duane Pomeraning, who were teenagers at the time, and their personal disturbing memories of the haunting. It explores the constant loud knocking and explosions, disembodied voices, spontaneous combustion, and other phenomena that occurred in the house, which were captured on audio and other forms of evidence. Kaza brings her psychic expertise to the investigation, and the duo works together in a serious and natural manner. The use of a geoport and recreations can be distracting, but overall, fans of ghostly phenomena handled with a research-based approach will be happy with the documentary.
