TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

WILHELM SCREAM can be heard when Buster is driving the Tuk Tuk alongside the Liffey. The scream is heard from a pedestrian who has to jump the railings to escape the Tuk Tuks' path.

Sorcha Cusack who plays Judge Dickie in the movie also played Hilary Nicholson in the first Mrs Brown's Boys series. But then the role went to Susie Burke, who did not appear in the movie

The first time P.R Irwin, the villain, is seen in his office, there is a banner behind him that says "P.R.I.C - the initials of his name. There's also a sign underneath that that says "Keep a PRIC in power."

Although Mrs Brown is set in the real place of Finglas, a northern suburb on the outskirts of Dublin, a lot of the film "Finglas" was actually shot in the immediate area around the Dublin Fruit Market. This is the area immediately north of the River Liffey, between Church Street and the real Moore Street.

The market street in the film is Moore Street, Dublin; which is well known in Ireland for its fruit and vegetable stalls. The prams featured in the opening sequence are traditionally used by illegal traders not by officially licensed stall holders but are a common sight on Henry Street.

Popular Dialogues

"Agnes Brown: Are you feckin' mad? How much? Tax Official: Four million Euro. Agnes Brown: Four million Euro? Winnie McGoogan: Ah, listen, love, there must be some mistake. Winnie McGoogan: Jesus, now you've killed her. Agnes Brown: How much?"

"Maydo Archer: It was in 841 AD when the Vikings first started trading in Dovelinn, or "black pool", from which, of course, Dublin gets its name. P.R. Irwin: Justice, context is one thing, but 841 AD, seriously? Justice Cannon: At least he didn't begin "In the beginning there was Heaven"."
