Originally, MTV came to Jacob Gentry with the idea and he thought it was a terrible idea, until he saw the show.
In an early draft of the script, there was to be a a construction worker working on The Rollerdome who would eventually get decapitated. Later during Lily's chase scene, she would discover his decapitated head next to a dumpster. This was ultimately dropped due to the amount of unnecessary characters.
Had a very limited theatrical run in the U.S. on the 15th October before premiering on MTV the week after.
The Uncut version was shown on MTV on Halloween night in 2009 then released to iTunes the day after.
The line "Who wants to party?", originated by Madison in this film, is said in all three films.
"Kevin: [Sees Skye walking by] Hey! Hey, weirdo! Brigg: Leave her alone, man. Kevin: No, no, no. [to Skye] Kevin: You'd give your left nut to do it with this guy, wouldn't you? Skye Rotter: [to Kevin] Sounds like you'd give your left nut to do it with him. [Brigg laughs] Kevin: What'd you-what'd you say, freak show? Skye Rotter: Nothing. I just think Brigg can do better than a quarterback like you. Kevin: Oh, ha, ha, funny. Idiot! I'm not a quarterback, I'm a reciever. Skye Rotter: I bet you are! Kevin: What? [Brigg's cracking up] Kevin: That's not what - Look, I'm not gay for Brigg! [Looks at Brigg who's muffling his laughter] Brigg: I'm sorry. Kevin: Okay, you know what? [points to Skye] Kevin: Screw you [points to Brigg] Kevin: and I'll see you at practice. [leaves Brigg and Skye laughing]"
