Having shot this film on Buyuk Ada, director Lutfu Emre Cicek stated in an interview that it was such a troublesome experience to shoot a film on an island that he will probably never do it again.
At a Q&A held by !f Istanbul, Derya Alabora, who plays Naciye in the film, jokingly said that when they were filming, she realized how exhausting it is to kill someone and that you could take a long nap afterwards.
At the same Q&A, director Lutfu Emre Cicek revealed that the house in which the film was shot belongs to a friend of his, who permitted him to film in there. He also stated that even if he couldn't have made this film in Buyuk Ada, he'd still chose to film in somewhere that is isolated and looks beautiful in the daytime but turns into a place you wouldn't want to spend a minute at nighttime.
