Director wanted the three characters in the cabin scene to listen to "Love Hurts" by Nan Vernon to feel the mood of the characters at that moment.
When the car windshield in the beginning of the movie breaks, it was by accident. The key PA meant to throw the doll toward the hood of the car but went to high and hit the windshield.
Writer of the original Friday The 13th screenplay, Victor Miller, gave suggestions and was somewhat of a mentor for Jason Christopher's script.
Jason-Christopher Mayer wrote the script when he was seventeen years old.
