The film began as a short film in 2001. It was then expanded into a feature length script - when the filmmakers could only raise US$20,000 they made this 45 minute version in 2006. They handed copies of the film out to anyone who would watch it - and targeted comic book conventions as a place to raise awareness of the project in hopes to find funding for the feature. They never managed to find funding but three years later the similarly themed Kick-Ass (2010) would premier in theaters worldwide.
