There's a short film titled How Olin Lost His Eye (2013), which features Olin as a central character. Watching this film provides insight into his character arc, which is resolved here. It's part of Damian's collection of short films, all set within the same universe.
At 24:16, from a room in Odello's Oddities we see the Rabbit doll with human eyes, almost identical to the one from Damien McCarthy's previous film Caveat (2020). With a few minor differences; clothed, being just one of them. What truly seperates them is that this mechanical Rabbit bangs a pair of Cymbals together, whereas the one from Caveat tapped on a drum; leading us to believe that this is not the same one from Caveat and that there is more than one of these cursed objects in McCarthys eerie Universe.
At the beginning of the movie, the man who discovers Olins body is played by John French, the actor who played the main character in Damian Mcarthy's previous film Caveat.
One of the items in Darcy's room of haunted objects is a wind up cymbal-banging monkey toy. This could be a reference to Stephen King's haunted toy from his short story, The Monkey, from his book Skeleton Crew.
