TRIVIA

Trivia

The title, P Se PM Tak, stands for - Prostitute Se Prime Minister Tak (From Prostitute to Prime Minister).

Kundan Shah, originally wrote the script in 1995 and approached Madhuri Dixit to play the lead, however, she did not accept the offer. Shah later approached the actress again in 2007, when she made her comeback with Aaja Nachle (2007), but Dixit turned down the role a second time as she claimed the role was too bold.

To research her role, Meenakshi Dixit visited brothels where she sat and talked to real-life prostitutes.

Because the character of Kasturi is from a small town in rural Maharashtra, the director hired a Marathi teacher for lead actress Meenakshi Dixit. Dixit also speaks perfect Hindi, however the director wanted her Hindi to sound broken as prostitutes in real-life don't speak the language fluently.

Debut Bollywood film of Meenakshi Dixit.
