IMDbPassengers is a brilliant Romantic Sci-Fi picture that aims to give an elegant and entertaining portrayal of the different paradigms of life but equally impresses the viewers with a package of entertainment and a breathtaking quality of science-fiction that helps to declutter the mind of the viewers. The movie is a complete rollercoaster ride of emotions and nerve-wracking situations that keep the audience glued to their screens from the very beginning till the climax. The movie is also a circus of the different questioning scenarios which also lets the viewers think out of the box and urges them to question the reality of life and the existence of outer space. What fans loved the most about the film is the performances of the lead characters. Chris Pratt, as Jim Preston and Jennifer Lawrence, as a writer named Aurora Lane added positive reviews to the movies with the help of their acting skills and on-screen chemistry.

The voice of The Starship Avalon belongs to voiceover artist Emma Clarke, who is also one of the iconic 'Mind the Gap' voices on London Underground.
The touchscreen interfaces that the characters interact with on various computers were developed on the Unity gaming engine. This eliminated the need of adding those interfaces in post-production.
The bar room is inspired by the bar room from Stanley Kubrick's The Shining (1980). In both films, the bartenders are dressed in red tuxedos, carry themselves in a sophisticated manner, have a strange friendship with the lead male, are not concerned with payment and are unable to leave. In addition, the primary light source in the bar and lounge shines from below rather than above. Finally, a variation on the iconic orange and red carpet design from Overlook Hotel hallways can be seen in the seating area.
According to production designer Guy Hendrix Dyas, the inspiration for the ship's rotary design came from observing the seeds of maple trees, and how they spin like tiny helicopters as they fall.
The symbols on the poster under the title - dot dot dot, dash dash dash, dot dot dot - are Morse code for S.O.S.
"[last lines] Aurora Lane: [voice over] A friend once said, "You can't get so hung up on where you'd rather be that you forget to make the most of where you are." We got lost along the way. But we found each other. And we made a life. A beautiful life. Together."
"Aurora Lane: My dad used to say, "If you live an ordinary life, all you'll have are ordinary stories. You have to live a life of adventure." So... Here I am."
