The first draft for the script was written one year before Elle Fanning (Phoebe) was even born.
This movie is Elle Fanning's first lead role in a feature film.
Eight minutes into this movie (the tag playing scene), Phoebe was first spotted wearing a cream dress with grey turtleneck and hunter green greyish wool stockings, and yet all of a sudden, she wore different wardrobe and the wool stockings were changed to red when the kids were going at her.
Both actresses playing the two sisters have gone on to play fairytale princesses in Disney productions. Elle Fanning (who played Phoebe) was Aurora in Disney's 'Maleficent' starring Angelina Jolie, and Bailee Madison (who played Phoebe's younger sister Olivia played Dnow White in recurring flashbacks in Disney's Once Upon A Time.
