Based on the play Los Pelones (The Bald Guys) written by Albert Espinosa, based on the experiences of his own youth.
When Albert Espinosa wrote the play, it was his way to keep alive the memory of his friends at the hospital, to let them live again. Back then they had an agreement: the survivors had to live the lives of those deceased.
Antonio Mercero and Albert Espinosa wrote the script collaboratively via telephone. Mercero was in Madrid and Espinosa in Barcelona.
The character named Izan in the movie is autobiographical of writer Albert Espinosa.
