Andy Griffith's final role.
In the bedroom scene between Andy Griffith and Liz Sheridan, because of satin sheets and a satin nightgown, Liz almost slid right off the bed before Director Marc Fienberg caught her. Andy kept right on with the scene as if nothing had happened.
Andy Griffith co-stars in this film with Rance and Clint Howard. They are (respectively) the father and brother of Ron Howard, who was Griffith's co-star on The Andy Griffith Show (1960).
Rance Howard, and Clint Howard both appeared on the "Andy Griffith Show(1960)." Rance Howard even wrote one episode of the Andy Griffith show called "The Ball Game(1996)."
Towards the end of the movie Andy Griffith mentioned Chicken Kiev to his grandson, which is a Russian/Ukrainian dish made from chicken, and butter inside it. This dish is usually eaten with mashed potatoes because when you cut into the chicken, the warm butter pours out, and you can then mix it into the mashed potatoes.
"Grandpa Joe: You either know it when you meet her, or know it when you lose her."
"Grandpa Joe: David, if you want to stop playing game of love, you have to stop play with this girl."
