This film was Austin O'Brien's first lead role.
Albert Band directed most of the exterior scenes, while Charles Band directed the interior scenes.
Producer/co-director Charles Band attempted to secure the rights to some Elvis Presley songs for use in the film, but the rights were too expensive. Even attempts to secure the rights to lesser-known/obscure Elvis songs all fell through.
This was Moonbeam Entertainment's first film.
Some of the actors playing reporters in the scene of Mr. Sarno introducing the mini-dinos are actually family members of Charles Band and Austin O'Brien respectively.
