TRIVIA

Trivia

Launch vehicle of Raj Kapoor's grandson Aadar Jain.

Launch vehicle of Anya Singh.

This is the second YRF production to launch a new lead pair, the first being Ishaqzaade (2012). Coincidentally, both movies are written-directed by Habib Faisal & produced by Aditya Chopra.

The concept of the movie is based on 'Tihar Idols'. In 2012, a singing and dancing competition, 'Tihar Idols', was launched for Tihar Central Jail inmates, and now, it has been turned into a reality show, set to make its TV debut next month. Shot over a period of three-four years, the competition not only gave the inmates a platform to showcase their talent, but also a career option.

Habib Faisal had began production for the film in 2014 with Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, but for some reason at the time it did not materialize, which could have to do with Arjun's dates. Habib Faisal then moved on to Daawat-E-Ishq.
