Set in 1976, married musicians Daphne and Darcy Davenport move from London to an isolated cottage in Wales to complete their new album. While collecting audio samples from the surrounding nature, Darcy inadvertently records a mystical sound never before heard by human ears. The discovery renews Daphne's creative energy, but as the echoes of her music bleed into the landscape, they disturb ancient and malevolent woodland forces. Their lives are further complicated by the arrival of a mysterious child who seems to have a deep connection to the local folklore.
