On September 13, 2015, the Lost Media founder Dycaite found a copy and released it during Found Media Week. The special was reviewed by reviewers in 2016, including RebelTaxi and TheMysteriousMrEnter.
The working title of the special was "The Bash Street Kids: Believe In Santa". The title of the special (and the name of the city) were likely changed because a "The Bash City Street Kids" comic already existed and the producers of this special wanted to avoid any potential legal conflict.
An Easter sequel was planned but was cancelled due to the negative reception of this special.
