Rotten TomatoesIt's the adaption of the first book of the Jack Reacher series , named Killing Floor, by Lee Child. The casting is done true to the character descriptions. Alan Ritchson in the role of Reacher did full justice to that. The physique, the wit, the attitude, the action and reactions were on point. The direction of the show is remarkable. The spot on location and screenplay adds more depth to it. It is a kind of show that will keep you captivating throughout and the reason is its commendable plot and way of storytelling. The action scenes are the highlight of the show. It definitely hits all the right bases and is appropriately paced. The story is not draged out and does go too deep into the flashbacks which makes this show more enjoyable. Overall, it is a worthwhile watch, definitely a pass from my side. Waiting for the next season.

Alan Ritchson read all 24 Jack Reacher novels in preparation for his role as Jack Reacher.
It was announced in February 2022 that the show had been renewed for a second season.
For the brutal fight scenes where seasoned stuntmen would typically be used, Alan Ritchson insisted on being immersed in the activity himself, suffering a variety of bumps and bruises for his ambitions.
Alan Ritchson said he thought that playing Jack Reacher, a man of few words, would be a cinch in terms of dialogue. That was until he had a scene describing a case in great detail, where he had to spew out four pages of monologue in 30 seconds. That required some extra study at night.
British author of the best-selling books, Lee Child, has often said that his readers were never wholly satisfied with Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher, not because of his acting, but because his physique never quite measured up to the giant of a man in the novels. Child emphasized that he had nothing but respect for Cruise as an actor, and that he'd immensely enjoyed his company and friendship over the production period of both Reacher films. Furthermore, as he'd begun to anticipate the move to episodic television for his Jack Reacher novels, and Cruise had never expressed any interest in being part of such a series, Child was hoping to see a relatively unknown actor cast in the title role.
