Actor Matthew DeHoff reprises his role of Marcus Modeno from director Max Radbill's previous film, The Sisterhood of Girls Who Won't Date Me (2017).
The beer in the film, American Bohemian, and its label are a play on the National Bohemian beer, popular in Maryland.
In the original draft of the script, Nate and Evan are brothers, and Angela is the love interest. This was switched to make Nate and Angela half-siblings, and Evan the love interest.

Angela Harmon: What? Yeah, I think they did. Nate Harmon: Oh wrong!
