Trivia

The role of Dr. Crober was originally intended for a man. Karim Hussain and producer Colin Geddes contacted Barbara Crampton who, being good friends with both of them, was more than happy to join to the project.

Karim Hussain, a good friend of co-writer Richard Stanley, was initially going to be the director of photography.

The filmmakers auditioned 200 girls for the part of Kira.

Began shooting exactly two years after being announced at Berlinale.

Lisa Tomaschewsky, Ksenia Solo and Michael Ironside were originally going to round out the cast.
