TRIVIA

Trivia

A book sequel to 'Sally Marshall Is Not an Alien' also written by Amanda McKay and entitled 'Not Sally Marshall Again' was published the following year in 2000. This later novel remains unfilmed in 2020 twenty years later.

The movie was filmed in Adelaide in South Australia and then post-produced in Canada.

The film's opening credits state that the movie is based on the book 'Sally Marshall Is Not an Alien' written by Amanda McKay.

This feature film was an Australia-Canada Co-Production produced by Infinity Pictures and Cinar Films.

This was the first family-orientated feature film directed by Mario Andreacchio after 'Napoleon' (1995) and 'The Real Macaw' (1998) that was not centred around animal characters. Andreacchio would later make another animal children's movie with 'Elephant Tales' (2006).
