IMDbSita Ramam has received a good IMDB rating, and the audience loved the movie for its brilliant storyline and the performance of the actors. The electric chemistry of the lead characters is also quite catchy. The display of events and the setting is so soothing and can beautifully attract the eyes of the audience. The movie managed to produce a well-crafted storyline and plot. The audience also enjoyed the melodious music composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar. The movie is, in short, an ensemble of goodness and has that perfect touch of romance and drama to it. Fans cherished the romantic storyline even though it is quite a cliché in the world of romance and drama, but it is something that would not bore the audience. The storyline gets the viewer hooked and is just a treat for all the romance lovers out there. Sita Ramam is an interesting love story and should at least be watched once.

Hanu Raghavpudi, the director of the film, got the idea for the film when he bought a book that had an unopened inland letter. Regarding the same, he told The Hindu, "The letter I found in that book, in 2007, was from a mother to her son. I gathered that their family is from Vijayawada and the son is living in a hostel. She had enquired about his well being and asked when he would be home. It got me thinking, what if the contents of the letter had something crucial that could change the course of events?". Army backdrop was later included in the story as suggested by Rajkumar Kandamudi.
