"Solomon & Sheba" is one of the two 1995 Biblical TV movies produced by Showtime and Dino De Laurentiis and directed by Robert M. Young, the other one being Slave of Dreams (1995). Both films were shot in 1994 in Morocco.

Jimmy Smitts turned down NYPD Blue to do this film, when he got the call on the set being offered a different role in the shows second season he immediately said yes.
