TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

In Korean Seungriho means "Space Victory" literally.

Kot-nim wears a sweater with a Napoleon Bonaparte quote in German that says "Ohne Champagner kann ich nicht leben. Bei Siegen verdiene ich Ihn. Bei Niederlagen brauche ich Ihn." English translation: "I can't live without Champagner. When I win, I deserve it. When I lose, I need it."

Though the cast is multilingual and have different ethnic backgrounds, this is a 100% Korean movie.

Many of Kim Tae-ri's scenes were omitted from the final production in order to rid of inconsistencies between the flow and story line. According to Kim Tae-ri, while the other characters grow and develop from their backstories through the entire film, her character "holds firm to a single belief from the beginning to the end of the film."

This movie makes South Korea's first sci-fi film set in space. Because of this, the cast and even the crew found the filming to be quite challenging due to being inexperienced with the genre.

Popular Dialogues

"Man: [narrating] Hope was extinct. The Earth was still breathing, but it was on life support. With Earth no longer habitable, the only place left to go was up."

"Announcer: Earth used to be the symbol of life. Space, death. Now through the miracle of technology, we can go fishing in a stream above the sky. Children are again able to chase butterflies in vst green fields. This is only the beginning for UTS."
