TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

The dive bar with the graffiti-covered bathroom that the girls play in is actually CBGB, a legendary bar in Manhattan.

The diner that the Splitz sing "Suburban Nights" in is Rosie's Diner, which was featured in a long-running series of popular Bounty Paper Towel commercials starring Nancy Walker.

Diane Scanlon was oblivious that her 1980 demo "Suburban Nights" was prominently featured until three decades after the film was shot. Although the finale song, "We're a Miracle," was credited to her, Scanlon was not the singer.

This was Robin Johnson's first part after garnering acclaim for her performance in Times Square (1980). Johnson had signed an exclusive three-year contract with The Robert Stigwood Organization, with the promise that they'd develop films for her. They didn't, so once her contract was up, she quickly sought out other acting gigs.

Debut theatrical feature film of actress Angela Nicholas who played a Phi Beta girl.

Popular Dialogues

"Joan: You know what I wish we could do? Gina: Drugs?"
