TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

An episode of "Scariest Places on Earth" gave some backstory on the making of this film: production was slightly plagued by apparent paranormal events. Monique Parent was subject to an unexplained sunburn during the shoot, and strange sounds and images appeared on the film at some points.

Monique Parent said it was 40 degrees the day they filmed on the beach. The crew had on gloves and coats, but she and Tane McClure had to sit there in skimpy bikinis for hours. They were freezing and shivering but had to act like it was a hot day.

Popular Dialogues

"[first lines] Raquel: [narrating] Stripper, dancer, showgirl, call me what you want. I dance and strip for money. Sometimes I do more than that. You can buy anything on the Strip. Some things cost a lot, some not so much. It's all relative to the market price or the moment. Every slice of time is different. The business is flush with emotion, there are no rules. If you're hungry, you'll do anything."

"Raquel: Hello, Cowboy. [nervously brushes her hand through her blonde hair] Raquel: You still mad at me? [no answer] Raquel: Cut me some slack, I'm back, aren't I? Cowboy: [laconic] Remains to be seen. Raquel: I'm quitting the business. Cowboy: No kidding? Raquel: [takes off her sunglasses] For real this time. Cowboy: [with a sigh] Like I said, remains to be seen. Raquel: I'm back...! Cowboy: I fell for all of your lies one year ago. Raquel: [keeps trying] So, how are you doing? Cowboy: What do you care? [turns away] Raquel: I just wondered... Cowboy: Well, I don't know why I'm here, Rock. Raquel: I had to see you. I've never forgotten. Cowboy: Excuse me for acting like I give a shit. Raquel: I can make things better now. Cowboy: Oh, yeah? How ya gonna do that? Do you think that after a year of wondering why the hell you left me, I'm just gonna say "Hey, great, swell, let's get hitched and live a fancy life up in the castle?" Welcome to reality, Cinderella. Raquel: [smirks] You look like you need a rub. Cowboy: Well, I don't need a rub. Raquel: Yes, you do, you look like shit. Cowboy: I ain't riding bull anymore, so get off my back. Raquel: I can take care of you. Cowboy: Bullshit! [walks away] Raquel: I'm not going back! Cowboy: Why don't you look at yourself? You look like a damn whore! Raquel: You are a bum, Cowboy! I have no idea why I came back up just after you! Cowboy: You made the call. Raquel: I didn't give up. Cowboy: Why did you drop me? [she looks down, runs her fingers through her hair] Cowboy: So that's it, huh? You realize I'd never stop rodeo-ing for any other woman. All I asked of you is to stop dancing. Now that seems fair to me. You made your bed, you sleep in it. Raquel: I came back for you, you low-life son-of-a-bitch! You know, I cried over you so many times, I lost my tears. Cowboy: Bullshit! [turns, walks away] Raquel: You're a son-of-a-bitch, you know that? [comes running after him]"
