Tango, Tequila And Some Lies or Tangos, Tequilas, y Algunas Mentiras is a Spanish romance drama film that follows the story of Lu, who travels to Argentina to win the heart of Diego, an Argentinean man she met in a bar. The highlight of the movie is the strong chemistry between the two lead actors, which is a great thing for a romantic film. And, Sánchez-Navarro's comedic performance adds to the plot with a twist, as well as do the supporting performances of Soledad Silveyra and Emilio Guerrero. The script, is largely cliched and borrows a lot from superhit romantic dramas, but the blend of Mexican and Argentinian adds a beautiful, authentic angle to it. Overall, Tango, Tequila And Some Lies is an enjoyable Spanish-language romantic comedy with strong performances and well-orchestrated humour that keeps you smiling throughout.
