Elon Reeve Musk was born on the 28th of June 1971, in Pretoria, South Africa. His father, Errol, was a wealthy, successful South African engineer and his mother, Maye Musk, was a Canadian model. Elon was the oldest of three children with brother, Kimbal, and sister, Tosca. His parents got a divorce when he was 10 years old.
At 12 years old, he created his first piece of space-gaming software, called Blastar, and sold it to a magazine for $500.
