Director Jerry Warren married Brianne Murphy in Las Vegas in late 1956 and during their honeymoon there, he wrote the script for this movie. It was filmed over five days in early 1957 and may have been released before 1959.
The island and boat scenes were filmed at the Salton Sea so that location fees could be avoided.
