After production wrapped up, Morgan Fairchild sent producer Charles Band an angrily obscene letter. Band later framed it and put it on his office wall.
Director David DeCoteau used the pseudonym Ellen Cabot. He told Draculina magazine that Ellen Cabot was an old girifriend from high school who he had a real bad break up with his senior year. He said she was a screaming bitch. So whenever he made what he feels is a very bad movie, he used her name instead of his in the credits. He later admitted to Femme Fatales magazine that the story about an old girlfriend was made up to cover the fact that he was gay.
Donald Sutherland was originally set to play Dr. Dorn, but backed out at the last minute.
"Virgin Hunters" was the original title of this movie, but at the time it was to be released, Paramount felt that the title was too controversial and had the name changed to "Test Tube Teens from the Year 2000," as well as commissioning less explicit poster art.
Morgan Fairchild filmed her scenes in 5 days for $10,000 per day and all in one take.
